New! A Walk Back in Time: The History of Prudence Island

Dive into the history of Prudence Island, led by Island history expert Joe Bains. He'll give a brief indoor presentation and then we'll take a tour of the island, stopping at various historical places throughout the day. Prudence has a varied history ranging from 17th and 18th century farming to occupancy by the British during the Revolutionary War to a thriving early 1900s summer resort colony and so much more.

Depart on the 9:45 am ferry out of Bristol, arriving on Prudence at 10:15 am where you will be greeted by an educator from the Research Reserve who will provide transportation and guidance throughout the day. You will depart on the 4:15 pm ferry, returning to Bristol at 4:45 pm. Ferry ticket is not included in the price and is approximately $11 round trip/adult and $4 round trip/child. Due to limited space, registration is required. Pack a lunch and drinks for the day and wear comfortable shoes.
