Art and Nature As One
Join a unique workshop that incorporates painting, encaustics and clay. Using nature as your inspiration, learn interesting facts about beautiful Narragansett Bay and bring home your own creation to enjoy for a lifetime. The workshop will be taught by island artist Robyn Q. Franczyk. All materials will be supplied. Due to limited space, registration is required.
What to Bring: lunch/drinks for the day; clothing and shoes you don't mind getting wet or muddy; sunblock; insect repellent. Ferry and Parking: Participants will depart on the 9:45 am ferry out of Bristol, RI arriving on Prudence Island at 10:15 am. Departure from Prudence Island will be at 4:15 pm returning to Bristol at 4:45 pm. There is a free municipal parking lot in Bristol just south of the intersection of Church Street & Thames Street. Ferry ticket price is not included in the registration and is approximately $11 round trip but is subject to change. Transportation on Prudence Island will be provided by the Narragansett Bay Research Reserve. On-island participants should meet at the Reserve's Coastal Classroom at 10:30am.
