E-Waste and Recycling Two-Week Event: “Don’t Dump Donate!”

The Audubon Society of Rhode Island partners with Goodwill Industries to host a two-week recycling event. Old electronics, textiles, clothes, shoes and select household goods are all welcome. Drop off your items at the Audubon Environmental Education Center in Bristol, RI from September 22 to October 10, 2017 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. No need to call or register in advance. A full list of accepted items is listed below. Textile items may be ripped, stained, or worn out…just as long as they are clean and odor-free.

Shoes (even singles) • Clothing • Linens/Textiles (bedding, towels, blankets, curtains) • Accessories (belts, purses) • Small toys (no bigger than a bread box) • Computers • Laptops • Flat Screen Monitors • Peripherals • Audio equipment • Video equipment • Electronics • Toner/ Printer cartridges • File cabinets • Metal shelving • Small household appliances such as toaster ovens, etc.

We CANNOT accept: Televisions • Desk top printers • CRT monitors • Florescent bulbs • Single use alkaline batteries
