Hometown Habitat- Stories of Bringing Nature Home- Film Screening

Save Pollinators. Save Water. Save the Earth.

Did you know that native plants do not require the use of herbicides and pesticides to maintain their beauty? That they don’t require extra watering from our supply of potable water? And that our native pollinators and birds also prefer native plants for nectaring and seed? The narrative thread of this eight-part documentary is provided by renowned entomologist Douglas Tallamy, Ph.D. whose research, books and lectures about the use of non-native plants in landscaping sound the alarm about habitat and species loss. This screening is part of our National Pollinator Week programs. Please register in advance.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds/Cancellations If you cannot attend a course as planned, you may receive a Audubon Society of Rhode Island (ASRI) course credit. You must inform ASRI in writing or email, 7 business days prior to the first class meeting. Credits may be applied toward any future ASRI course within the next year. Cancellations within 7 business days are not entitled to a class credit or transfer of any kind. Certain courses are non-transferable and are indicated in course description. Refunds are given only if ASRI cancels a class. Refunds are processed within 30 days of the canceled class. ASRI reserves the right to change class locations, schedules, fees, and instructors when necessary. ASRI will not issue refunds for classes which have been postponed due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to reschedule such classes. Travel Programs and overnight programs each have separate cancellation policies, see course description for each policy.
