Seals and Seabirds

Head out to explore beautiful Prudence Island with a focus on seals and seabirds. We will make several stops to look for a variety of bird species in protected ponds and coves. Expect to see grebes, eiders, mergansers and many other species. After warming up while we eat lunch, we will head back out to the south end of the island to view the winter population of harbor seals that enjoy basking on the rocks just offshore.

What to Bring: lunch/drinks for the day; camera/binoculars (we'll have extra binoculars to share); warm clothing and comfortable footwear. Registration is required due to limited van space. Ferry ticket is not included in the price and is approximately $11 round trip/adult and $6/child. You will depart on the 9:45 am ferry from Bristol, arriving on Prudence at 10:15 am; the return trip will depart Prudence at 2:30 pm and arrive in Bristol at 3:00 pm.
