Birding: the Next Step Part II: Birding: Taking Flight

Come learn everything you have ever wanted to know about our feathered friends from Charles Clarkson, Audubon Society of Rhode Island Board Member and professional ornithologist. This six-week course is part two of a series, offering a deeper exploration of everything bird. Topics will range from avian anatomy and physiology, the dynamics of migration and the newest technologies in ornithology to how birds cope with a changing climate. Two weekend field trips will be arranged.

Audubon Environmental Education Center, 1401 Hope Street, Bristol, RI; April 18, 25, May 2, 9, 2018; 6:30 pm-8:00 pm; Field trips will take place on April 28, May 12, 2018; Program Fee; $125/member, $150/non-member. Ages: Adult.

Cancellation Policy

If you registered for an outdoor program, please come dressed for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. If we need to cancel or reschedule the program due to the weather or low enrollment, we will contact you prior to the program date. If you cannot attend the course as planned, you may receive an Audubon Society of Rhode Island (ASRI) course credit. You must inform ASRI in writing or email, 7 business days prior to the first class meeting. Credits may be applied toward any future ASRI course within the next year. Cancellations within 7 business days are not entitled to a class credit or transfer of any kind. Certain courses are non-transferable and are indicated in course description. Refunds are given only if ASRI cancels a class. Refunds are processed within 30 days of the canceled class. ASRI reserves the right to change class locations, schedules, fees, and instructors when necessary. ASRI will not issue refunds for classes which have been postponed due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control; we will make every effort to reschedule such classes. Travel Programs and overnight programs each have separate cancellation policies, see course description for each policy.
