"Entangled: Ghost Whales" Artwork by Kristian Brevik
The population of North Atlantic Right Whales is still threatened by human activity, mostly entanglement in fishing gear and ship strikes. Artist Kristian Brevik explores the relationship of humans to whales through unique art sculptures. The skeletons of the whales, revealed in lighted sculptures, bring a heavier gravity to the effects of human activity on these creatures. Meet the artist on Saturday June 8, 2019 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
