December School Vacation Week at the Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium

Don't know what to do with the family during the school vacation break? Come to Audubon for winter fun for all ages! Nature crafts will be held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm each day (10 am to 12 pm on December 31st), as well as a nature story at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm and an animal interview at 1:30 pm. Special programs are also available each day at 11:00 am and are recommended for children ages 6 and up.

Friday, December 27: Animal Babies

Come learn all about our animal friends! Which animals lay eggs? Why do some have multiple offspring while others have only one? Can you match which babies belong to which adults?

Saturday December 28: Light & Color

Create bubbles and crazy colors with experiments that will test your sensory abilities.  What happens when you mix colors with salt water, milk or oil? Are bubbles always round? How do animals use color to survive? Wear clothes that can get messy.

Sunday, December 29: Recycle Roundup

Are you a pro at recycling? Come show off your skills and learn new things you can do to help our planet.

Monday, December 30: Outdoor Survival

Learn how to survive outside by using what can be found in nature and by using the most important survival tool: your brain!

Tuesday, December 31: Nature Games

Come play a variety of nature games with Audubon! Please note that the Nature Center and Aquarium will close at 12 pm on December 31st.
