Exploring Wetlands at Fisherville Brook, Exeter
Join an Audubon naturalist to discover what creatures live in wetlands! Dip your net into a pond, stream or swamp to find water bugs and look for frogs, turtles, and birds. Have fun while learning about the critters that make wetlands their home. Join an easy walk to the wetlands with engaging activities for the whole family. Be sure to bring water shoes, boots, or old sneakers, bug spray, sun protection, and a water bottle. Families will go home with an activity.
Note: Rhode Island Covid-19 safety guidelines will be followed. Program is limited to 13 participants and led by two Audubon naturalists. Family units are encouraged to participate together. Masks and social distancing are required. Participants must bring their own masks. Programs will be held outdoors with restrooms available before and after the event. Advance Registration is required, and a parent or guardian must accompany children.
Audubon Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge, *Pardon Joslin Road, Exeter, RI; July 10, 2020; 10:00 am – 12:00 pm; Fee: $20/member adult/child pair, $7 for each additional member; $25/non-member adult/child pair, $10 each additional non-member. Children 3 years and under are free. Ages: Appropriate for children ages 6 to 11 with other family members welcome.

Directions: Take Rt. 95 to Rt. 4 to Rt. 102 north. Turn right onto Widow Sweets Rd. (just after the Exeter's Town Clerk's office and across from Anderson's Place.) Take second right onto Pardon Joslin Rd. (a dirt road). Travel approx. 1 mile. Parking lot is on the right side by a large Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge sign.
