Nests and Dens: Animal Homes

Take a mid-morning hike to search to for homes created by animals in the forest and field areas. The bare trees and winter wind-blown land often reveal the past season’s shelters and hidden havens. Search for bird and insect nests as well as dens of active animals. This outdoor program is appropriate for all ages, but participants should be prepared to explore outside in cold weather. Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring binoculars if you have them. Face masks and social distancing are required. Participants must bring their own masks. Advance registration is required.

Cancellation Policy

Full Refunds will be given if Audubon cancels a class. Audubon reserves the right to change class locations, schedules, fees, and instructors when necessary. Audubon will not issue refunds for classes which have been postponed due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control; we will make every effort to reschedule such classes. If you cannot attend a program as planned, you will be refunded the registration cost minus the convenience fees. To obtain a refund, you must inform Audubon in writing via email, 7 days prior to the (first) class meeting. Contact email address is listed for each program. Cancellations within 7 days will not be entitled to a refund. No-shows will not be refunded and the registration fee will be considered a donation to Audubon. Travel Programs and overnight programs each have separate cancellation policies, see course description for each policy.
