Wild Edibles Walk with Russ Cohen

Russ Cohen is back to lead his Wild Edibles Walk—the perfect complement to his spring lecture! The Ocean State is home to over 90 species of edible wild plants, some of which are more nutritious and/or flavorful than their cultivated counterparts. Join Russ, expert forager and author of Wild Plants I have Known…and Eaten, on a two-hour ramble to encounter at least eighteen species of edible wild plants. Keys to the identification of each species will be provided, along with information on edible portions, seasons of availability and general guidelines for safe and environmentally-responsible foraging.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds/Cancellations If you cannot attend a course as planned, you may receive a Audubon Society of Rhode Island (ASRI) course credit. You must inform ASRI in writing or email, 7 business days prior to the first class meeting. Credits may be applied toward any future ASRI course within the next year. Cancellations within 7 business days are not entitled to a class credit or transfer of any kind. Certain courses are non-transferable and are indicated in course description. Refunds are given only if ASRI cancels a class. Refunds are processed within 30 days of the canceled class. ASRI reserves the right to change class locations, schedules, fees, and instructors when necessary. ASRI will not issue refunds for classes which have been postponed due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to reschedule such classes. Travel Programs and overnight programs each have separate cancellation policies, see course description for each policy.
