Osprey Nest Monitoring – Volunteer Training
Four Dates and Locations Offered

Calling all birdwatchers! Volunteers are needed for the Osprey Nest Monitoring Program data collection during the summer season. One of Rhode Island's longest-running avian research programs, the initiative was started in 1978 to monitor the health of the then-endangered Osprey. In this one-hour workshop, volunteers will learn how to collect data on Osprey nests, discover the natural history of these amazing birds, and discuss why this research is so important to current conservation efforts.
